Babil Khan, born in 1998, is one of India’s rising cinema stars following in the footsteps of his legendary father Irrfan Khan. His big-screen debut came in the aftermath of Qala in 2022, a dark psychological thriller on Netflix for which he received rave reviews, citing his raw talent and intense on-screen charisma. This scenario marked the beginning of comparisons to his father, a towering figure in Indian cinema, but Babil is eager to forge a new path.

After his arrival, Babil featured in the coming-of-age drama Friday Night Plan and the miniseries The Railway Men alongside R Madhavan and Kay Kay Menon. He was signed for a part in The Umesh Chronicles, in which he will star alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon.
