    Chhaya Kadam’s humble beginnings

    Chhaya hails from a middle-class background in Kalina, a suburb located in central Mumbai. She studied at Sathaye College, Vile Parle, Mumbai, where she was a state-level kabaddi player and earned a degree in Textile Design. Chhaya has always been inclined towards acting right from her childhood and acted in various plays during her high school and college days. Her first play was Waman Kendre’s Zulva. Her first movie, Baimanus (2010) was never produced.

    Sairat (2016)

    In Nagraj Manjule’s Sairat (2016), Chhaya portrayed the role of Suman Akka. She was nominated for the Best Supporting Female Actor in Filmfare Awards Marathi and Maharashtracha Favourite Kon.

    Nude (2018)

    For her outstanding performance in the movie Nude, Chhaya won the Maharashtra State Film Awards trophy for the Best Supporting Female Actor. The actor was appreciated for her work in Ravi Jadhav’s social drama

    Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022)

    Do you recall Chhaya in the song Dholida?The one woman who dances in a carefree fashion that makes Alia’s Gangu look surprised?The actor played a significant role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.     Madgaon Express (2024)

    Chhaya once again takes it a notch higher in Kunal Khemu’s directorial venture, Magaon Express. In the dark comedy, she portrays a dangerous criminal known as Kanchan Kombdi.

    Cannes debut experience of Chhaya Kadam

    Chhaya recently responded to her Cannes experience and she said, “I am very happy. This is a beautiful moment in my life and I am enjoying it without getting much ahead of myself. ”
