In Guwahati, Feb 25, Designer Sanjukta Dutta, unveiled her latest collection, “KOHUA KOMAL,” at the prestigious Milan Fashion Week on Saturday.
After presenting in New York and Paris, Sanjukta Dutta joins Milan Fashion Week on February 24th. Skilled artisans in the heart of Assam craft delicate and beautiful pieces where tradition meets nature’s colors.
The allure of Assam’s Silk and Rich Heritage was on display at the show.
Kohua – Komal, the collection from this special place, pays tribute to Assam’s silk weaving tradition with care and dedication.
T Ajungla Jamir, Consul General of India in Milan, Luciano Pettoello Mantovani, Secretary General of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy, and Divya Singh, Special Projects Manager/India Marketing Manager of the TOD’s Group, were among the notable expatriates of Indian origin who attended the glittering event.
Sanjukta Dutta blends classical Indian aesthetics with contemporary touches in her designs, reflecting a fusion of tradition and modernity. She meticulously crafts each piece in her collection over a minimum of twenty-five days, weaving a story of tradition into every intricate detail, from iconic Mekhela Chador to resplendent Structured Sarees, flowing Gowns, graceful Drape-Skirts, and fusion Indo-Western Lehengas, exuding femininity and grace.
