New Delhi: Following an email threatening to blow up the school with a bomb, a school in the Greater Kailash neighborhood of Delhi was placed under lockdown. However, authorities could not find anything untoward.

Immediate Lockdown and Evacuation
“A school in Delhi’s Greater Kailash neighborhood received an email threatening to detonate a bomb inside the building. The email states that there was a bomb planted in the school yesterday. Legal action has been taken after the investigation has turned up nothing, according to a statement from Delhi police. “A fake bomb alert was received in South Delhi’s Summerfield, GK. Upon checking, nothing was discovered. It said, “The school has been checked and evacuated.”
The bomb threat was delivered only months after a similar email, allegedly from Budapest, the capital of Hungary, was received by 150 schools in the Delhi-NCR. The IP address of these emails has been linked to Budapest, according to a Delhi Police spokesperson, and the Delhi Police will shortly be getting in touch with their Hungarian counterpart to conduct additional research.
Previous Bomb Threats in Delhi-NCR
Every device connected to the internet is given a unique identification number known as an IP (internet protocol) address. The principal of the school, Shalini Agarwal, commented on the email and stated that the pupils were evacuated within ten minutes of the authorities receiving notice of it. She added that the bomb squad was inspecting the school’s grounds.
“We checked an email that we received late last night early this morning. Within ten minutes of receiving the email, we evacuated the pupils by SOP. We notified the district administration and the police, and we are grateful to the police for their prompt and outstanding cooperation,” she told reporters.
