    Hrithik Roshan: Lakshya, the Bollywood movie that starred Hrithik Roshan and was released twenty years ago, is all set to make a return to the big screen, which brings joy to the fans.

    Recently, Hrithik Roshan posted on his Instagram profile dancing with his daughter in a video on the occasion of the 20-year-old ‘Lakshya. ’ He also posted some moments to freshen up the memories of the film. He penned, “Here is the journey of a film that opened millions of dreams and shaped generations, rewinding to ‘Lakshya’ which completes 20 years on June 21, releasing in cinemas.

    Lakshya was released in 2004 and it is nicely based on Kargil War. Made by Farhan Akhtar in the director’s chair along with Ritesh Sidhwani as the producer, the movie features a protagonist Karan Shergill who is a pampered heir of a Delhi-based business tycoon who eventually goes on to join the Indian army and is eventually posthumously awarded the Param Veer Chakra. The film also employs Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta as key characters of the movie.

    ‘Lakshya’ was produced at ₹14 crores and earned more than ₹26 crores thus proving itself as a good grosser at the box office. The film became a clear hit and made a very strong impression on the audience as well as the critics. It was interesting to know from IMDB that when the director Farhan Akhtar visited the Indian Military Academy 15 years after the shooting of the film ‘Lakshya’, 70% of the young cadets stated that they joined the Indian army after being inspired by the film ‘Lakshya. ‘ Though the film can be watched for entertainment, it has a strong motivational appeal as well.

    Even Amitabh Bachchan and actress Preity Zinta recorded the same video message and posted on Instagram with the same caption. They said that they want to celebrate the achievement of the film and are prepared to bring it back to theaters. Perhaps this announcement is a pleasant gift that will allow the audience to watch the film in theaters for the second time.
