    Regarding employment in private businesses, the Siddaramaiah administration of Karnataka has made a significant decision. Kannadigas are now eligible for 100% reservation in private jobs, according to the Cabinet. Siddaramaiah, the chief minister of Karnataka, said on social media that the cabinet meeting on Monday was where this decision was made. This choice is seen as significant and historic. As of now, no state has taken such a move.

     What has Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Stated?

    We have determined in our cabinet meeting that all C and D category roles in private enterprises will be 100% reserved. This reserve will be beneficial to Kannadigas. Kannadigas ought to be given top priority for these positions. This law has the approval of our cabinet. Our state is governed by Kannadigas.

    What Does the Authorized Bill Contain?

    On Thursday, the state of Karnataka will present a measure to give local applicants jobs in factories, enterprises, and industries. Locals should be given preference in any private industry, factory, or other establishment, according to this measure. The nodal agency will require Kannada aspirants who do not possess a Kannada school certificate to take a language exam in Kannada. Additionally, factories, organizations, and businesses that disobey the approved bill face fines ranging from 10,000 to 25,000 rupees. The bill further stipulates that if a violation occurs even after the fee is paid, there would be a daily fine of Rs 100. This has been reported by Business Standard.

    Who May Apply for a 100% Reservation?

    Kannada-speaking citizens of Karnataka who have lived there for more than 15 years. Citizens with a working knowledge of Kannada. A certificate of Kannada language proficiency is necessary for job aspirants. Aspirants from Kannadigas who do not possess a secondary school certificate must pass the nodal agency’s Kannada language exam.

    In addition to approving 100% reservation in private employment, the measure stipulates that the organization, government, or other agencies must train qualified local workers within three years if no acceptable candidates are discovered locally. A corporation, establishment, or industrial group should apply to the government for permission by the legislation if it does not receive support from the local community.

    Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Removed the Post.

    Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah said that the bill granting Kannadigas a reservation in private employment has been approved. However, Siddaramaiah has now removed this post from X social media.
