According to PTI, 86-year-old Subhash Dandekar, the creator of the venerable stationery company Camlin, passed away on Monday. After selling the company to the massive Japanese company Kokuyo, he was chairman emeritus of Kokuyo Camlin.
The geometry boxes I would invariably forget to carry to school and get scolded by our Maths teacher. The pastels we would use on both walls and drawing books… Camlin was our living childhood. Farewell Subhash Dandekar sir. Thanks for the colours and right angles.#camlin pic.twitter.com/OCYWF3Mns9

Strangely, he passed away at a time when so many of us were experiencing nostalgia for his creation, which is an essential aspect of our early years. “May his soul find peace,” wrote another user.
