PM Narendra Modi’s address at the start of the monsoon session: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chastised the opposition for disrupting past Parliament sessions at the start of the Monsoon Session on Monday, urging MPs from all political parties to fight together for the country during the next five years.

PM Modi’s Critique of Past Parliamentary Disruptions

PM Narendra Modi lambasted some parties’ negative politics, claiming they utilized Parliament’s time to conceal their failures. Modi said that the Opposition parties attempted to prevent him from speaking in Parliament during the last session, saying that such tactics have no place in democracy.

“…You must have noticed that during the first session of Parliament, an attempt was made to silence the voice of the government, which was elected by a majority of the country’s 140 crore people. For 2.5 hours, an attempt was made to silence the Prime Minister. They tried to prevent me from speaking in Parliament during the last session. The people of the country sent us for the country, not the party. “This Parliament is for the country, not the party,” Modi declared in his usual address at the start of each session.

A Call for Unity Among Political Parties

A day before the presentation of the Union Budget, Modi stated that the Budget will chart the course for the next five years and build the groundwork for achieving the aim of ‘Viksit Bharat’ in 2047. Modi stated that his government is taking steps to put the promises he made to the people into action. “This is a budget session. We are moving forward with implementing the commitments that I have given,” he stated.

“This is a crucial Budget for Amrit Kaal. This budget will determine the direction of that journey and create the groundwork for attaining the dream of Viksit Bharat,” Modi remarked. He further stated that the Budget session is a significant milestone in our democracy’s historic journey. He stated that after 60 years, a government has returned to power for a third term.

Vision for ‘Viksit Bharat’ in Union Monsoon Budget

“Today marks the first Monday of Sawan. An important session begins on this fortunate day. On this first Monday of Sawan, I greet all of my countrymen. The monsoon session of Parliament begins today. Today, the entire country is staring at it. “This should be a positive session,” Modi stated.

Modi further stated that the Budget session is a significant milestone in “our democracy’s proud journey”. Catch every huge smash and wicket with Crickit, your one-stop shop for Live Scores, Match Stats, Infographics, and much more.
