The principal of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital needs to have been the initial person questioned about the rape and killing of a trainee physician inside the state-run hospital’s historic hall, the Calcutta High Court said on Tuesday.

After reviewing numerous public interest litigations on the crime, the bench questioned the state government’s legal representative about the reason for Dr. Sandip Ghosh’s appointment as the principal of a different college just hours after his resignation.

Calcutta: Court finds crime to be horrible

“What makes you shielding him? Take note of his remarks. The court instructed the state’s attorney to “let him tell whatever he knows.” The court also described the murder and rape as “so gruesome.” “We can’t censor the media…What guarantee are physicians receiving from you (the State)? They sustain injuries. The scene is graphic.

The court ruled, citing Bar and Bench, that “They (doctors) are justified in expressing their emotions.” On Monday, Dr. Ghosh announced his resignation, accepting moral responsibility for the woman’s demise. A few hours later, he was named the principal of CNMC College.

What was stated in the post-mortem report?

According to the victim’s post-mortem assessment, “genital torture” was indicated by a severe wound inside her privates. Her mouth, her privates, and her eyes were all dripping with blood.

Sanjoy Roy is the individual that the police have arrested for the offense. The Mamata Banerjee government has come under fire from BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi for reappointing the principal.

    Bengali government criticised by BJP

“What’s more tragic than the incident itself in Kolkata is how the criminals have been given protection.” The Bengal government’s protection is demonstrated by the fact that the principal of RG Kar was reappointed as the principal of another college in less than a day. It casts doubt on the government of Bengal’s probe. I would like to know why the Chief Minister of West Bengal feels sorry for that Principal today. I asked the TMC administration directly, “Why are we giving these many days?” Is it intended for manipulation?

The Sandeshkhali incident demonstrated this. Why isn’t the inquiry being turned over to the CBI, the nation’s top investigative body?” The mutual criminal elements are receiving crime cover from the INDI alliance parties,” he stated.
