However, her appearances on the red carpet in this edition of the Cannes Film Festival gave her supporters the opposite of what they expected. They didn’t like her fashion choices so much: some even anticipated and sarcastically mocked her gowns. She was trending on social media for two days, and negative reactions to her appearance were pouring in on Twitter: #Marc, Instagram: #Marc.
However, the reality was that Aishwarya loved her dresses, and she referred to one of the gowns as ‘magical’. In a recent interview with Vogue, she mentioned that the look she wore on the carpet of red last evening was designed by Shane and Falguni Peacock, or as they like to call it gilded glow which was magical for her.
Specifically, the gown in question was designed by an Indian designer by the name of Falguni Shane Peacock. The outfit comprising of stiff fabric material was designed for the bodice fitted around puffy white sleeves to form a long cape with golden flower embellishment connected with velcro buttons, and golden foil designs on the bodice followed by gathered pleats at the front.
