Isha’s Reliance Brands Ltd. purchased a 51 percent share in Ed-a-Mamma, an Alia-founded line of children’s and maternity clothing, in 2023.
‘My daughter and her twins are almost a week apart’
Raha Kapoor, Alia’s first child, was born in November 2022. On November 19, 2022, Isha Ambani and her businessman husband Anand Piramal welcomed their twins, a male named Krishna and a daughter named Aadiya. Regarding her equation with Isha, Alia expressed her happiness, saying, “We are delighted to have partnered with Reliance. I am really close to Isha Ambani. It so happened that we both gave birth at about the same time. The gap between my daughter and her twins is over a week. All of this therefore occurred simultaneously. We both realized at once that we were mothers.”
“Now, my entire perspective on Ed-a-Mamma as a brand was so personal,” Alia continued. Rather of considering it merely as a business endeavor, it felt as though it were coming from within. Thus, everything happened flawlessly and simultaneously. Everything about me has improved since becoming a mommy.”

According to RRVL, in a statement announcing the investment, the alliance is seeing the brand expand into new areas like personal care and baby furnishings, children’s narrative books, and an animated series. The business withheld the transaction’s financial information.
Alia Bhatt established Ed-a-Mamma in 2020 with the goal of offering reasonably priced, eco-friendly clothing options for kids. In 2022, the company expanded its range of products to include maternity clothing.
