    In the new Apple TV+ series, Colin Farrell takes on the role of a traditional detective. The new Apple TV+ show, Sugar, stars Colin Farrell as detective John Sugar. It’s set in the city and has been in the making since June 2022. The filming has mostly been done later that year.

    Colin Farrell leads as detective John Sugar, with Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Amy Ryan joining him.

    Colin Farrell’s co-stars include Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Ruby and Amy Ryan as Melanie Mackintosh. Howell-Baptiste has made his name for Barry, Killing Eve, and The Good Place, while Ryan is an Oscar nominee for Gone Baby Gone and recently appeared in Beau Is Afraid and Only Murders in the Building.

    The cast features Dennis Boutikaris, James Cromwell, Nate Corddry, and Sydney Chandler as the Siegel family. Cromwell plays Jonathan Siegel, Chandler is Olivia Siegel, Boutikaris portrays Bernie Siegel, and Corddry is David Siegel.

    The Makers Behind ‘Sugar’

    Mark Protosevich, creator of ‘Sugar’, is working with executive producers Colin Farrell, Sam Catlin, Chip Vucelich, and Adam Arkin. Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, and Fernando Meirelles also contribute, with Meirelles directing.

    The Release

    Like most Apple TV+ series, ‘Sugar’ will adhere to the standard release format, dropping two episodes simultaneously on the premiere date and then releasing a new episode every Friday thereafter.

    As of now, the production team has not given any official updates regarding the show’s future. He can tackle more cases in LA. Audiences eagerly anticipate what lies ahead after the first season, but for now, they can enjoy the intriguing twists and revelations of the series on Apple TV+ starting April 5.
