In contrast, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and actor Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal in Ramayan, emerged as the chosen candidates to contest from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, respectively.

In the BJP’s 2024 fifth candidate list, Dharmendra Pradhan contests from Sambalpur, Sambit Patra from Puri, Jitin Prasada replaces Varun Gandhi in Pilibhit, and Sita Soren competes from Dumka.
The acclaimed actress from “Tanu Weds Manu” will contest the Lok Sabha elections this year, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district.
