The long-awaited film “DeAr,” starring V. Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh, was released in theaters on April 11, directed by Anand Ravichandran. Viewers’ reactions are now trending online. Let’s dive in.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi posted the trailer for Kaali Venkat’s upcoming film “Kida” on his X handle. Ra. Venkat directs the film.

Initial reports suggested a slight dip in audience numbers on the first day of “DeAr’s” release in the Mayiladuthurai district of Tamil Nadu. However, over the weekend, a surge of fans flocked to theaters to catch the film.

Opening with the sentiment that Diwali unites people across India regardless of religion or caste, the trailer of “Kida” introduces Poo Ramu as a loving grandfather. He endeavors to buy his grandson new clothes, but faces challenges due to their high price.

All Praises for Kaali Venkat’s Performance in DeAr

Audiences have praised Kaali Venkat’s standout performance in the film, as well as the impactful background score. Additionally, the depiction of the depth and significance of the husband-wife relationship has been lauded.

Centered on Arjun, a TV journalist and the younger son of a single-mother household, the film delves into his life where his older brother Saravanan (played by Kaali Venkat) takes charge. When it’s decided that Arjun should marry, Saravanan and their mother Lakshmi (played by Rohini) travel to Ooty to meet Deepika and her family.

They immediately hit it off, but Deepika hesitates to reveal her snoring issue, a departure from her usual honesty with suitors, following her mother’s counsel.

Following their blissful wedding, turmoil ensues shortly after for the couple. Despite Deepika and Arjun’s attempts at innovative solutions, matters worsen when Arjun’s insomnia causes him to miss a crucial opportunity at work.

The remainder of “DeAr” focuses on the couple and their families as they attempt to navigate through their unique obstacle.

In addition, “DeAr” features pivotal roles played by Ilavarasu, Geetha Kailasam, Nandhini, Kaali Venkat, and Thalaivasal Vijay.
