    Chennai Tragedy: Another high-profile car hit-and-run case occurred in Chennai near the Chennai MRC Club in a week after the Pune Porsche accident case where the victim was identified as the daughter of Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao.

    A month after the Pune Porsche car hit and running case of the Bollywood actor, a similar incident has emerged from Chennai Tragedy where the daughter of a Rajya Sabha MP hit a man sleeping on a pavement with her BMW car.

    Madhuri the daughter of YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao has got bail. Surya, a painter of 24 years of age has been declared dead.

    The accused was on Monday night driving a brand-new BMW car around the city, with a female companion. She is said to have driven her car over the man who was fast asleep in the middle of the road in an inebriated condition at the Besant Nagar locality of Chennai Tragedy, as per the investigative report.

    The two women, according to the officials, were involved in a quarrel and Madhuri was said to have left the scene of the accident instantly while the other woman challenged those around the pavement.

    At some point in time, even the friend who was standing with her left the spot and some people then transferred Surya to another nearby hospital. Nevertheless, he succumbed to his injuries.

    Chennai Tragedy, Surya, the young man in wedlock for only eight months had his kinsfolk and neighbors from the colony where he resided assemble at J-5 Shastri Nagar Police Station.

    After watching the CCTV footage, the police found that the car was registered in Puducherry and was done under the name of the BMR (Beeda Masthan Rao) Group. The police arrested Madhuri from her house but released her later on bail at the police station.

    Now, Rao has been a Rajya Sabha MP since 2022 while working as an MLA before joining the upper house. The group associated with him also known as BMR Group, is one of the leading groups in the seafood business.
