Darshan Thoogudeepa: The Kannada celebrity is the second accused in the murder case, with Darshan’s girlfriend Pavithra Gowda identified as the primary culprit.
From the murder investigations about well-known Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, horrifying revelations have surfaced. Renukaswamy, who was found dead in a Bengaluru drain on Sunday, is the subject of the investigation.
Fans refer to Darshan as the “Challenging Star.” On Tuesday, he was taken into custody from his Mysuru home. Eleven of his assistants as well as his girlfriend and co-star Pavithra Gowda have been taken into custody.
The primary accused in the case is Pavithra Gowda, while Darshan is the secondary accused.
These are five gruesome details from the homicide investigation:
- According to news agency PTI, which cites police sources, Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, allegedly posted sexual remarks on Pavithra Gowda’s social media posts. Following this, she allegedly encouraged Darshan to punish him.
- According to them, Darshan recruited Raghavendra, also known as Raghu, who is the convenor of his fan club in Chitradurga, to obtain information about Renukaswamy. Additionally, the victim’s wife claimed that Raghu picked him up from the area outside their home.
- According to the complaint, he was abducted and brought to a shed in Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru. In the shed, Darshan is said to have beaten Renukaswamy senseless with a belt while his assistants beat him with sticks. The PTI article further stated that he was pushed against a wall and sustained many bone fractures across his body.
- It is said that the victim’s body was thrown into a stormwater drain. A meal delivery employee saw that dogs were chewing on his body and called the police.
- The Karnataka Police informed the court in their remand motion on Tuesday that Darshan and Pavithra Gowda are not cooperating and are concealing information, according to sources cited by news agency IANS. An additional four suspects are being sought after.
Responses To The Arrest Of Darshan Thoogudeepa’s
Fans of Darshan are shocked and in amazement that their idol could be complicit in such a heinous crime. They have been congregating in front of police stations, where Darshan was being interrogated, compelling the officers to use pepper spray on them.
The state’s Home Minister, G Parameshwara, stated that the police have been given carte blanche to prosecute Darshan and the other accused in line with the law.
President N M Suresh of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has expressed interest in initiating legal action against Darshan following a meeting with the artists’ union, most likely following the filing of a charge sheet by the police.
