The murder case has led to the arrest of Kannada star Darshan Thoogudeepa. The Bangalore Police arrested the Kannada actor in connection with the Mysuru murder case of Renukaswamy.
Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa of Kannada was arrested by Bangalore police on June 11 in Mysuru in relation to a murder case, according to HT Kannada. The South Indian actor is being transported to Bangalore after being detained on suspicion of having connections to the murder of Renukaswamy.
Renukaswamy is accused of posting disparaging remarks against Pavitra Gowda on social media and recommending a preliminary police inquiry. Following the discovery of Renukaswamy’s dead body close to Bengaluru’s Sumannahalli Bridge, police launched an inquiry, according to Asianet.
So far in this investigation, ten persons have been taken into custody. A report on Asianet states that police authorities would probably provide further details about the case at a press conference soon.
The 47-year-old was taken from a Mysuru hotel about Renukaswamy’s murder.
Case of Renukaswamy’s murder
Renukaswamy, a Chitradurga native, was purportedly killed for cyberstalking Pavithra Gowda. Gowda is Darshan, the Kannada actor,’s close friend. Darshan requested Renukaswamy to approach his farmhouse in Mysuru.

According to The Hindu, which cited police, the accused allegedly killed Renukaswamy after torturing him for hours and disposing of his body in a sewer in Bengaluru’s Kamakshipalya neighborhood two months ago. The police recovered the dead body on June 9 from the area and began an investigation into the case.
Following the arrest of Darshan Thoogudeepa, police officers have been stationed close to his Bengaluru home. According to Indian Express, three persons detained during the murder case’s preliminary inquiry had confessed to killing Renukaswamy due to money problems.
Who is Darshan Thoogudeepa?
Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is well-known in Kannada cinema for roles in the 2012 films Krantiveera Sangolly Rayanna and Anatharu.
In addition, he produces and distributes. Darshan, who was born on February 16, 1977, founded Thoogudeepa Productions, his production company, in 2006. Darshan made a cameo role in Jothe Jotheyalu, the production house’s debut film.
Darshan has also received numerous honors. For his performance in the film Kranti Veera Sangolli, he was awarded the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor.
