Mythri Production, which recently delivered news of a mega-budget special project with director Prasanth Varma filming with star-cast Ranveer Singh, told Times of India. The team confirmed ‘yes it’s true that Prasanth approached no mass Ranveer for a film in his cinematic universe. It will come right after HanuMan for him to work on it. It’s almost a green light but Ranveer is interested but nothing is conclusive at present.

Pinkvilla then shared that the title of Ranveer Singh and Prasanth Varma’s first crossover venture happens to be Rakshas and is set to roll out in July 2024. Ranveer Singh had visited Hyderabad in April to shoot pics for announcing the film but now this has also been stalled that both have parted ways for Rakshas. It turns out that the teams have decided to separate due to the different approaches to creativity”, a source announced.
The source furthermore stated that “They had been exploring and were looking to finalize more than one solution; however, they have now decided to move on with the commitment of further collaborating in the future”. The latest development now means that the production house will need to restart the casting process for Rakshas because Prasanth has pressed that he now wants to get his film out soon before moving onto Jai Hanuman.
Ranveer Singh is content with keeping his family ahead of filming commitments.
A source close to the actor reveals that Ranveer is taking things slowly and preparing himself to be a father by the end of the year 2024. He is saying that he is putting family first over the busy work of his movies. Though he is listening to a lot of scripts in the business, the most thing in his mind is to give more time to his family. He believes in his choices while also keen on expanding his intellectual repertoire to have more intriguing projects under his belt. Among the two confirmed films that are currently on the way are Don 3 and Shaktimaan.
