In a video posted by the actress on Tuesday, actor Ranveer Singh expressed that he found it “trippy” to watch his wife Deepika Padukone, who is going to become a mother, portray a pregnant lady in Nag Ashwin’s science fiction epic Kalki 2898 AD.

In the video, Ranveer remarks, “It’s really trippy to see a movie where her character is pregnant and she is pregnant… what’s happening.” In March of this year, Deepika and Ranveer, who got married on November 14, 2018, revealed they were expecting their first child in September. Shortly after the Pathaan actress presented at BAFTA 2024, the announcement was made.

In addition to Kamal Haasan, Saswata Chatterjee from Tollywood, and Disha Patani, Kalki 2898 AD features notable cameos by Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, and Ram Gopal Varma. In the domestic box office, the movie has already brought in Rs 529.45 Cr net, according to industry data-tracking website Sacnilk.
The last time we saw Deepika, she was opposite Hrithik Roshan in Siddharth Anand’s aerial action Fighter. Her other upcoming projects include Don 3 (starring Farhan Akhtar) and Singham Again (with Rohit Shetty). In the meantime, Ranveer will appear in Singham Again as ACP Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao.
