The film, which is being directed by Randeep Hooda, who also plays Savarkar, looks to be more than simply a biopic; according to the official description, it will be an epic and fearless depiction of India’s military movement for independence.

The teaser teases the politics of that era while revealing the film’s focus on the Indian armed revolution and featuring leaders and martyrs like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Madanlal Dhingra, Bhagat Singh, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
This makes the trailer highly anticipated due to the revelations it will reveal about the modern Indian history, which the film seeks to rewrite.
“When I was asked to do this, I didn’t know a lot about Vinayak Damodar Savarkar,” stated Randeep Hooda. “I was shocked by his life and his impact on other freedom fighters of that era when I really researched him. I was so incensed over why we, as a nation, don’t know much about him that I decided to share his story with the world in its original form.”
This film pays homage to his unflinching devotion to the country, his enduring spirit, and the role that armed revolution played in India’s struggle for independence—a struggle that he greatly affected. We’ll dispel a lot of myths about Veer Savarkar and pay tribute to his legacy by giving it all in an open, transparent manner.
Ahead of its release, producer Anand Pandit, who played a crucial role in making sure the movie was made, is excited. Pandit declares, “Veer Savarkar and his life have greatly inspired me. He represented India’s idealistic vision, and he made a significant contribution to our fight for independence. My gift to the nation’s youth is this film.”
Sandeep Singh, the producer, stated: “Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was a real patriot. However, people still don’t understand him. People mistook Veer Savarkar for a terrorist due to his rebellious tactics against the British. They should see the movie, in my opinion, since it will dispel their false beliefs. They will view Savarkar in a new light after watching the film, which is factually accurate. It is impossible to alter history or the past events that have already happened. I consider myself fortunate and appreciative to have had the chance to document one of our nation’s greatest freedom fighters in history.”
The global premiere of “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” is scheduled on March 22. It is co-produced by Roopa Pandit, Sam Khan, Anwar Ali, Panchali Chakraborty, and Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Yogesh Rahar, and Zee Studios. The movie, which stars Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, and Amit Sial, will be available in Hindi and Marathi.
