In a new sensation, Bollywood actor and newly converted BJP MP Kangana Ranaut was reportedly assaulted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable at Chandigarh airport. The encounter happened when Ms. Ranaut recently, who clinched the Lok Sabha polls in the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh preparing to board a flight to Delhi.

The constable involved in the callous incident has been named as Kulwinder Kaur. The video taken by a mobile phone reveals that Ms. Ranauth had a security cordon around her as she moved closer to the security check-in zone. She is also seen speaking with several officers from CISF during the video. It did not take long for the CISF Commandant to notice this and later launch an inquiry, asking Constable Kaur why she did this. Also, one of the personal assistants Ms. Ranaut immediately proceeded to report the incident to the local police, which illustrates the escalation of conflict.
The Response
The concerned authority of the CISF has filed an internal inquiry to know the reality of the situation. The commanders themselves are studying the circumstances of a conflict and questioning other guards who witnessed the incident themselves. The objective is, in other words, to assess whether the constable’s actions could be attributed to personal prejudice or misconduct in the performance of his or her job.
