A monk seeking an unconditional apology from Mamata Banerjee A day after the West Bengal chief minister accused a section of monks of working for the ruling BJP that came to power in New Delhi, Swami Pradiptananda of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) on Monday sent a legal notice to her on Monday demanding an unconditional apology in 48 hours.
Banerjee to immediately appear before the press and print and electronic media and tender an unconditional apology for making the said malicious and motivated statement and withdraw the said statement from circulation through the media within 48 hours from the receipt of this notice and refrain from making any such damaging/defamatory statement about my client in future,” said Billwadal Bhattacharyya, the counsel of Pradiptan
The notice further added that if the person, Banerjee did not provide a reply in four days then it would mean that she wanted to give wide publicity to the said defamatory content to maliciously and falsely defame Pradiptanandaand himself. It further said Pradiptananda of Aurangabad, Beldanga (Murshidabad), and Payradanga (Nadia),/better known as Kartick Maharaj also claims the right to file cases under different criminal laws against Ms. Banerjee.

He went on to add that he will still see to it that no TMC election agent is in the polling booths. I do not call him a monk because he vigorously engages in political affairs. He is a traitor to the country. Bharat Sevashram Sangha I have a high regard for” Banerjee said in a rally in Tapore Hooghly.
Modi said Banerjee speaks ‘mean’ of the ISKCON, RKM, and BSS organizations and even threatens them in order to protect the infiltrators and Muslims who are the TMC’s vote bank.
