Forensics discover cobra and krait venom in samples from the location: Elvish Yadav rave party case; YouTuber refutes claims

The Uttar Pradesh Police recently revealed that cobra and krait venom were found in the samples taken from a party. This has marked the latest development in the Elvish Yadav snake venom-rave party case.

In a forensic investigation, the police discovered the venom of two snake species—cobra and krait—in the samples they took from Yadav’s party, according to a report by NDTV. Elvish Yadav, a YouTuber and the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, was present at the rave party in Noida in November 2023.

    Suspect Based Raids

The police raided the party because they suspected that the visitors were using snake venom to get high. Since then, Yadav is entangled in the legal proceedings surrounding the case. He is charged with attending the party as well as being allegedly involved in the usage of snake venom.

During questioning, Yadav claimed that Bollywood singer Fazilpuria was responsible for arranging the snakes in one of his videos. Following the People for Animals (PFA) sting operation last year, five individuals were taken into custody for smuggling snakes. They revealed that they had given snakes to Elvish Yadav’s party. Thanks to their disclosures, nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued.

    Snake Venom Confiscated

Additionally, approximately 20 milliliters of probable snake venom were found at Yadav’s party location.  Rahul Yadav, a supplier was arrested in connection with the party. He tells the UP police have questioned the Yadav twice to determine his involvement in the sale of snake venom.

The arrested defendants alleged during interrogation that they provided snake venom for rave events hosted by Elvish Yadav. As a result, samples from the party are sent to Jaipur FSL for forensic testing, and Elvish Yadav was charged at the Noida Sector 49 police station. Yadav dismissed the charges as “baseless” and “fake” and pledged to fully cooperate with the police investigation. Since no other drugs were there at the rave party, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985 has not been invoked.
