Plot of the Movie
Commissioner sir instructs ACP Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) to investigate The Night Owl Bar shootout. Verma’s Special Crime Unit discovers 8-10 dead individuals there. What works for Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout
“Silence 2” captures attention in spurts. At times, certain scenes draw you in, compelling you to continue watching. Yet, there are moments when the film fails to engage. It effectively portrays the cunning manipulation of underage girls into the escort industry against their will.
What doesn’t work for Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout
“Silence 2” unfolds slowly and often drags. As an investigative-thriller, it doesn’t deliver the anticipated excitement or suspense. The plot drifts aimlessly due to a poorly constructed screenplay. The supporting cast’s performances fall short, especially next to Manoj Bajpayee’s strong presence, giving the film an overdone feel. The Special Crime Unit’s usual lack of interest in minor cases alienates the audience, making it difficult to connect with or root for them. In the end, the climax is underwhelming, seemingly attempting to rationalize the actions of a psychopath, even if slightly.

Performances: The Night Owl Bar Shootout
Manoj Bajpayee portrays ACP Verma decently. Although the film doesn’t provide much emotional depth for his character, he manages to keep things together. Without his performance, the film might have stumbled.
Prachi Desai, Sahil Vaid, and Vaqaur Shaikh portray SCU officers Sanjana Bhatia, Amit Chauhan, and Raj Gupta, respectively. Their performances are passable.
Dinker Sharma, as Arjun Chouhan, overacts. His style might have suited a theater play but falls short for films.
Parul Gulati, playing Arti Singh, delivers an acceptable performance, although her entire sob-story lacks emotional connection.
Other supporting actors in the film exhibit amateurishness in their acting.
Final Words
“Silence 2” proves to be a lengthy and exhausting viewing experience, lacking emotional resonance. The performances fall short of the expectations set by a no-nonsense investigative-thriller.
The film is currently available for streaming on Zee 5.
