As of now, the shooting for the sequel is scheduled to begin from June 2024 but the latest buzz is that R Madhavan has signed for an important character in this romantic comedy featuring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.

Recent inside stories reveal that director Luv Ranjan and his team have approached R Madhavan for a major role in De De Pyaar De 2. “Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan had a frightening clash in Shaitaan and now in 2025, they will have face-off again in De De Pyaar De 2, but this time funny,” share some insiders about the latest update of the movie.
As per the source, Madhavan is also looking forward to doing De De Pyaar De 2 as it’s a break from his intense films. “Since the Tanu Weds Manu series, Madhavan has not done a full-fledged romantic comedy and he did not hesitate to sign DDPD 2 immediately The makers are introducing a new playful angle in the sequel to the 2018 romantic comedy and both male protagonists are looking forward to this face-off.
De De Pyaar De 2 starts in June.
De De Pyaar De 2 is going to be directed by Anshul Sharma and the shooting of the film will commence from June this year. The film is set for release on the 1st of May 2025. We had said in our earlier news that Anil Kapoor had been signed opposite to Ajay Devgn in the film but now it seems that it is R Madhavan who is going to be the actor opposite to Ajay. “The actor has agreed and is planning to shoot in June,” the source ended the conversation.
