Today is director Rohit Shetty’s birthday! As his birthday approached, his friends and fellow actors wished him a very happy birthday on social media.
“Another year older, but the stunts keep getting crazier,” Rohit’s close friend and actor Ajay Devgn commented with a photo of himself. “Happy birthday, @itsrohitshetty, my friend.”
There is a deep bond between Ajay and Rohit. In multiple movies, including the “Singham” and “Golmaal” series, the two have collaborated.
In a recent interview with ANI, Rohit discussed how Ajay is his greatest ally.
“I worked for fifteen years after quitting school in my tenth year. I worked very hard and struggled. This is when Ajay launched his business. I had collaborated extensively with Ajay on “Suhaag,” “Haqeeqat,” and “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha” by that point. However, the films that came before “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha” were either unfinished or did not perform well. Then he told me, “You come with me and we will work together,” and he launched his business. After that, I began working at “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.” After 13 or 14 years, I told him I wanted to direct. He said yes, and after I read him a script, he said we should go ahead and make the movie “Raju Chacha” and all the other movies.” Rohit stated.” Zameen was that movie,” he continued.
The 2003 movie, which starring Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, and Bipasha Basu, was an action thriller directed by Rohit Shetty.
“Because Ajay was there for me, that break was simple. I didn’t have to fight to acquire my first movie since, at that point, my 15 or 14 years of hard work were already behind me,” Rohit said.Examining Ajay’s resume, Shetty highlighted the actor’s range of roles. Referring to Ajay’s numerous roles in movies like “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” “Zakhm,” and “Raincoat,” Rohit remarked, “He has done everything.” He disclosed that Ajay Devgn keeps quiet most of the time. “That is how he is,” Rohit remarked.
“The body of work he has done, agar koi aur hota to 20ve maale ki building se chilata,” Rohit added, praising Ajay Devgn and emphasizing the actor’s significant influence on a generation that is changing thanks to his film roles.
Speaking about the efforts of renowned action director Veeru Devgn, who is Ajay’s father, to raise awareness of action, Rohit remarked, “Action got recognition because of Veeru Devgn ji”. He described a turning point in the business when “Phool Aur Kaante” became the first-ever action award recipient in addition to receiving critical praise.”
“Because of him for the first time action ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ got an award for action before that there was no award category for action … it’s so sad,” added Rohit.
‘Singham 3’, starring Ajay with Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff, will be released by Rohit in the upcoming months.
