    Amitabh Bachchan’s Reaction to Kalki 2898 AD: What the Hell Is He Drinking?

    Amitabh Bachchan was stunned by Nag Ashwin's story of Kalki 2898 AD, a dystopian sci-fi film based on Indian mythology, starring him as Ashwatthama.

    Nag Ashwin’s much-anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is now in the final stages of production. The film has already generated interest among its fans and recently the makers hosted a massive pre-release event of the film in Mumbai. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone were also present in it. The event was anchored by Rana Daggubati.

    Nag Ashwin directed the dystopian science fiction Indian mythology film Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama.

    In the course of the event, Big B discussed his working experience of the movie and his feelings after listening to the script. He also thanked the director of the movie Nag Ashwin for coming out with such a wonderful idea.

    He said, “Nagi came and explained the idea of Kalki 2898 AD. After he left, I thought, what the hell is Nagi drinking? To think of something like this is absolutely outrageous. Some of the visuals that you have seen just now are unbelievable. To have somebody conceive a project that is so futuristic is amazing. ”

    Regardless of what Nag Ashwin thought of, he actually got all the material and effects to match his vision It has been an amazing experience working for Kalki 2898AD which I will never forget,’ Big B further said.

    Discussing about the movie, producers on Monday released the ‘Bhairava Anthem’ from the movie. The peppy number has the Telugu superstar and the lead actor of Kalki 2898 AD along with Punjabi actor-singer, Diljit Dosanjh. Prabhas and Diljit Dosanjh have been captured twinning in quintessential Punjabi dresses. Prabhas too has been seen with the turban.

    This post-apocalyptic film directed by Nag Ashwin comes from the sources of Hindu mythology and is to be set in the year 2898. From the trailer, it was evident that director Ashwin gave a loose adaptation of Mahabharat from a futuristic perspective and had a dystopian twist to it. The film also stars Kamal Haasan.

    The directors previously released the trailer for Amitabh Bachchan’s appearance in the sci-fi dystopian thriller during the exciting Indian Premier League (IPL) game between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

    This post-apocalyptic film, which is based on Hindu texts and is directed by Nag Ashwin, is set in the year 2898 AD. The movie, which opens in theaters on June 27, also stars Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone.
