The Stree 2 trailer, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Abhishek Banerjee, just got dropped, and it is going to be a thrilling adventurous ride. The horror-comedy sequel is picking up right where the first one left off in 2018, with the town of Chanderi being haunted by the ghost of Stree.
The trailer shows the locals, including Rajkummar, Abhishek, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana, on a mission to take on another evil: Sarkata aadmi, with the help of Stree. So, get ready for some spooky laughs.
The Stree 2 Trailer
The trailer begins with Pankaj Tripathi’s Rudra Bhaiya announcing the new menace to the people of Chanderi, ‘Sarkata’ (headless monster). To defend them from his terror, comes Shraddha Kapoor, who probably was the bad spirit in the prelude of the film. This time, instead of saying, “O stree kal aana,” the people of Chanderi pray to Stree, “O stree raksha karna.”
The new menace facing the people of Chanderi is introduced in the trailer by Pankaj Tripathi’s character Rudra Bhaiya. Sarkata is a headless monster. Shraddha Kapoor, who had presumably played the spirit in the previous installment of the film, makes an appearance in an attempt to protect everyone from its reign of terror. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the people of Chanderi pray to Stree this time, “O stree raksha karna,” rather than telling her, “O stree kal aana.”
Only For Fans
The trailer is a mixture of laughs and chills; it features creepy images of the deadly head of “Sarkata,” as well as several amusing one-liners. For example, at one point, Rudra Bhaiya remarks that Sarkata is an influencer who is in Chanderi merely to attract more followers.

Stree 2 and The Supernatural Universe
Shraddha and Rajkumar Rao performed important parts in Stree. The film ended on a cliffhanger when Shraddha’s character was seen holding the ponytail believed to be associated with the bad spirit. Maddock Films’ horror universe now includes Roohi (2021), Bhediya (2022), and Munjya (2024).
Varun Dhawan and Abhishek Banerjee’s characters from Bhediya also appeared briefly in Munjya, starring Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh. It is expected that Akshay Kumar will make a surprise appearance in the movie. Tamannaah Bhatia will play a special part.
