Prime Video announced on Wednesday that the Telugu movie “The Family Star” will start streaming from April 26. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. Parasuram, who wrote and directed the movie, presents it as a romance family drama. It initially hit theatres all over India on April 5.
Prime Video announced that “The Family Star” will stream in India and over 240 countries and territories in Telugu and Tamil. Following that, it will be dubbed in Malayalam and Kannada. In the movie, Vijay Deverakonda, known for his role in “Arjun Reddy,” portrays Govardhan, a devout family man who aspires to achieve greatness but must also shoulder the responsibilities of supporting an extended joint family.

The official plotline reveals that Govardhan’s life takes a delightful turn when Indu (Thakur), a charismatic new tenant, enters his house. Sparks begin to fly, and their relationship blossoms into an unexpected love story. Myriad situations, people, and issues continually force them to navigate hardships in their lives.
