Suriya Reveals Double Role in Upcoming Film “Kanguva” with New Poster, Fans’ Reactions Pour In

Directed by Siva, “Kanguva: A Mighty Valiant Saga” features Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in addition to Suriya.

On Sunday, Suriya took to Instagram to surprise his fans with a new poster of his upcoming film “Kanguva.” This stunning poster confirmed that he will be portraying a double role in the movie. The news sparked excitement among fans, who flooded the comments section with fire emojis to express their enthusiasm for the film.

Suriya, known for his roles in acclaimed films such as “Nandha,” “Kaakha Kaakha,” “Ghajini,” and “Singam,” has recently gained praise for his performances in “Soorarai Pottru” and “Jai Bhim.” Additionally, he made cameo appearances in Kamal Haasan’s “Vikram” and Madhavan’s “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.” The National Award-winning actor will also make a cameo appearance in the Hindi version of “Soorarai Pottru,” starring Akshay Kumar.

Suriya delighted his fans by sharing the latest poster of “Kanguva” along with Diwali wishes. Among the numerous comments, one fan congratulated him for what they anticipate will be a blockbuster, while another hailed him as a superstar. The overall sentiment in the comments was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the poster as “mass.”

During a media event in Japan with Karthi, Suriya expressed his belief that “Kanguva” would be a hit among audiences, bringing immense happiness to his fans. He also discussed the standalone Rolex film, a project already confirmed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Suriya’s most recent appearance was in “Etharkkum Thunindhavan,” directed by Pandiraj. Despite performing reasonably well at the box office, it fell short of meeting the high expectations of Suriya’s fans in terms of revenue.

Earlier this week, Suriya took to social media to share a glimpse from the film’s sets, announcing the completion of his final shot for “Kanguva.” He expressed gratitude towards director Siva Kumar and the entire team for their positivity and cherished memories. Suriya emphasized the significance of “Kanguva” and eagerly anticipated its release, describing it as a special project close to his heart.

On Tuesday, the creators of the Suriya-led epic “Kanguva” revealed the film’s second look poster, depicting the actor in a fierce demeanor.

The poster showcases two intense expressions of Suriya.

The makers shared the poster on social media, captioning it: “A Destiny Stronger Than Time. The past, present, and future resonate with one name! #Kanguva Here’s the #KanguvaSecondLook.”

The ‘Kanguva’ universe will be characterized by its raw and rustic aesthetic, promising audiences a fresh visual journey. The film will center around human emotions, compelling performances, and unprecedented action sequences on a grand scale.
