    The makers of “The Sabarmati Report” are gearing up to release a heartbreaking account of what happened on the morning of February 27, 2002, in the Indian state of Gujarat, aboard the Sabarmati Express, close to the Godhra railway station. As the film is ready for release on May 3, 2024, the creators immerse everyone in this captivating tale with a video that honors those who perished in this heartbreaking tragedy.

    Vikrant Massey, the lead actor of The Sabarmati Report and 12th Fail, also posted the video on his Instagram account. “Today, we pay tribute to the 59 innocent individuals who perished in the Godhra train burning disaster 22 years ago. “Introducing ‘The Sabarmati Report,’ available in theaters on May 3, 2024,” the caption stated.

    On January 15, the film’s creators officially announced The Sabarmati Report. The thriller is based on the true story of the Sabarmati Express fire, which occurred in 2002 and not only destroyed Gujarat but also rocked the country. Starring in the film produced by Ekta Kapoor is the well-known actor Vikrant Massey from 12th Fail. Additionally, it will be his first time appearing on screen alongside Farzi actress Raashi Khanna. This movie would also be her first acting role in Hindi. On May 3, 2024, The Sabarmati Report is scheduled to open in theaters.

    The film’s main cast includes Jawan actor Riddi Dogra, Vikrant Massey, and Raashi Khanna. The movie is being directed by Ranjan Chandel, with co-producers Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan. Reactions to the first look were positive, praising Vikrant’s ability to provide another outstanding performance and expressing optimism for an objective, politically neutral account of the events.

    With the success of his most recent release, 12th Fail, Vikrant is sulking. The Vidhu Vinod Chopra-directed movie was well-received by critics and audiences alike. Vikrant, who portrayed IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma in the movie, became well-known for the part.

    For those who don’t know, on February 27, 2002, a crazed mob set fire to a bogie of the Sabarmati Express train that was departing from Godhra station in Gujarat. Following the event, which claimed the lives of fifty-nine individuals traveling back from Ayodhya, riots erupted throughout Gujarat. In the Godhra incident, 1500 people were the subject of a formal complaint. Following this occurrence, there was widespread sectarian rioting in Gujarat that resulted in a significant loss of life and property. Government estimates state that 1200 persons lost their lives during the rioting. This incident is the basis for the Sabarmati Report.
