Lok Sabha Election Results: Outcomes of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are out. Here are some of the celebrities who performed exceptionally well and won the election.
Kangana Ranaut
The Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut entered into politics and contested the Lok Sabha elections from Ma̟ndi, Himachal Pradesh, and defeated the Congress party’s Vikramaditya Singh with a huge margin of 74755 votes. The actor expressed his gratitude through X and said that he was thankful to the people of Mandi and claimed the victory in the election was because of Narendra Modi.
She said, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all people of Mandi for giving me the privilege to serve you, for this love and trust This win is of all of you, this is the win of faith in PM Narendra Modi Ji and BJP, this is the win of Sanatan Dharma, this is the win of the honor of Mandi.
Manoj Tiwari
The leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Manoj Tiwari, also defeated the Congress party’s nominee Kanhaiya Kumar securing 138778 votes in the North-East Delhi Lok Sabha. Tiwari is a three-term MP from this seat and has been in Parliament since 1984.
Shatrughan Sinha
The veteran actor won the Asansol seat in West Bengal as a candidate of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) by defeating BJP’s Surenderjeet Singh Ahluwalia by 59564 votes.
Hema Malini
The renowned actress and BJP parliamentary member defeated Congress’s Mukesh Dhangar by 293407 votes in Mathura. It is important to note that this is her third term.
Arun Govil
Arun Govil was an actor in the TV serial ‘Ramayana’ where he acted as Lord Ram aroused his charisma and he secured victory in Meerut against Sunita Verma of SP by a margin of 10585 votes.
Ravi Kishan
Bhojpuri actor, Ravi Kishan, contesting from Gorakhpur on BJP ticket won against SP’s Kajal Nishad by 103526 votes.
Kishan contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and achieved a victory against the Samajwadi Party (SP) contender Rambhual Nishad by a huge margin of 3,01,664 votes from Gorakhpur.
Dev Adhikari
While the TMC fielded film actor Dev Adhikary, the BJP has given a ticket to film actor Hiran Chatterjee and both of them faced each other in the Ghatal Loksabha constituency. Another Gorkha candidate Dev Adhikari has 182868 votes and he is victorious.
Rachana Banerjee
Rachna Banerjee of Trinamool Congress was elected for the Hooghly seat and she left her counterpart Locket Chatterjee of BJP far behind with a margin of more than 60 thousand votes.
June Malia
Actress-politician June Malia from Trinamool Congress defeated BJP’s contender Agnimitra Paul with a margin of 27191 votes.
Satabdi Roy
Satabdi Roy of Trinamool Congress (TMC) emerged victorious from the Birbhum seat; she defeated Debtanu Bhattacharya of BJP by a margin of 197650 votes. Protesting against the political culture, the actor-turned-politician Satabdi Roy has garnered 717961 votes while Debtanu Bhattacharya has received only 520 311 votes. This will be her fourth term as MP so she will have lots of experience in this area.
Suresh Gopi
This was the first time the BJP has won a seat in the assembly in Kerala and actor-politician, Suresh Gopi was responsible for it on Tuesday. The actor who contested from Thrissur won the elections by a margin of 74686 votes defeating the Left candidate VS Sunilkumar who came second nearest.
