Chirag Paswan on being inducted as Union Minister: Ambitious but also a huge responsibility for me.

Chirag Paswan, newly inducted into PM Modi’s cabinet, expresses gratitude for the opportunity, vowing to serve with sincerity and dedication.

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) headed by Chetan Chirag Paswan became a minister in the union on Sunday in Narendra Modi’s government. Paswan thanked PM Modi for employing him for the task saying that he appreciated his leadership.

LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, who joined the Union Council of Ministers on Sunday after being inducted into PM Narendra Modi’s cabinet as a minister of state with independent charge said that he will do justice to the Portfolio with full sincerities and dedication. Paswan expressed his gratitude to PM Modi stating that he had believed in him.

The credit for this, he said, goes to the Prime Minister who had so much faith in a party with just one MP and gave it 5 seats. Chirag Pawan was quoted by news agency ANI saying that I have also given them all 5 seats by winning them.

Piyush Goyal in his speech said that in the last 10 years, the govt has been focusing on schemes associated with poverty alleviation, and it will take momentum with that strategy to ensure a reduction in the gap between the two classes and between villages and towns.

Chirag Paswan triumphantly secured victory by a huge margin of over 1 lac votes in Bihar Hajipur Lok Sabha seat. By defeating RJD’s Shiv Chandra Ram by 70 lakh votes it has emerged as one of the most prominent and influential political parties in Bihar.

The BJP has compromised in Bihar by inducting as many as seven MPs in PM Modi’s council of ministers out of which four are allies of the JD (U) before next year’s assembly elections in the state in a bid to balance the caste factor of the opposition party.

Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have emerged as states that enjoyed the most representation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new council of ministers for the 21st century, assembly poll-bound Maharashtra has a major representation, PTI said.

Uttar Pradesh which has the largest number of representatives sent to the Lok Sabha with a total of 80 has been given nine ministerial positions, one of which is a Cabinet position while Bihar with a mere four representatives in the state has received four Cabinet positions out of the total eight provided for the state.
