Fans await Allu Arjun’s role in ‘Pushpa 2,’ set for this year. Allu Arjun and director Sukumar are wrapping up filming. Reportedly, a six-minute scene costing Rs 60 crore includes a Gangamma Jatara performance and a fight sequence, taking 30 days.

According to a reliable industry source, “Pushpa: The Rise” enjoyed immense success, with its box office performance, music, and social media buzz making waves.

In December 2021, “Pushpa: The Rise,” starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana, hit the screens. The film’s success, with hit songs like ‘Oo Antava’ featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and ‘Saami Saami,’ surprised both viewers and creators. Now, the makers are striving to exceed its triumph with the sequel, “Pushpa 2.”

As “The Rule” nears, expectations rise for a grander sequel with more of Allu Arjun’s charm. T-Series reportedly acquired Pushpa 2’s rights for Rs. 60 crore.

An industry insider discussing the film mentioned that with “The Rule,” audiences can expect more of what attracted them. The source also revealed T-Series’ involvement, stating they acquired world music and Hindi satellite TV rights for the sequel. This means T-Series now holds rights to all songs in “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” regardless of language. Furthermore, when asked about the amount paid, the source mentioned T-Series spent approximately Rs. 50-60 crore for both rights. When questioned about whether this sum was fair, the source reaffirmed.

Given the first film’s widespread success, it’s unsurprising that the sequel aims to surpass it. T-Series secured a profitable deal for Pushpa 2, including music and TV rights.

Industry observers view this deal as profitable, considering the anticipated scale and impact of “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”

Star Maa reportedly acquired Telugu satellite rights, but the amount is unknown. Netflix allegedly bought digital streaming rights for Rs 100 crore.

Last year, Allu Arjun unveiled the first-look poster of ‘Pushpa 2’ in a saree with blue and red face paint. Later, Fahadh Faasil’s look was revealed, followed by Rashmika’s as Srivalli for her birthday. There are reports of Sanjay Dutt making a special appearance. The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Sukumar, releases on August 15, 2024.
